Laura Lizcano is a Colombian jazz vocalist and songwriter based in the city of Philadelphia. Her debut EP “Chance on Me” was recently recorded at Rittenhouse Soundworks and will be released later this year.

Lizcano graduated from the Boyer College of Music and Dance at Temple University in Philadelphia. She studied privately with Sachal Vasandani, Joanna Pascale, and Greg Kettinger, and was the featured vocalist with the Temple University Big Band, led by Terell Stafford, for two years. While at Temple, she also had the opportunity to perform the Philadelphia premiere of Steve Reich’s “Music for 18 Musicians,” alongside members of the Grammy Award winning vocal group The Crossing. Additionally, she received a scholarship to attend the Keep an Eye Summer Workshop at the Conservatorium Van Amsterdam in the Netherlands, through which she had the opportunity to learn from Becca Stevens. Outside of Temple, Laura has studied privately with Camila Meza.

Laura has performed at the Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts with Joanna Pascale, Chelsea Reed, Lee Mo, Najwa Parkins, and Alexa Barchini for the Sittin In’ Series at Innovation Studios. She has also performed as a guest artist with the Big Band Juveníl de Bogotá — under the direction of Alejandro Fernandéz— at Teatro Jorge Eliécer Gaitán in Bogotá, Colombia. Laura has also sung at Dizzy’s Club Coca Cola with the Temple University Big Band.

Currently, Laura composes for and performs with her band leader project. She also sings with Brennen Ernst and the Roaming Tones, a band playing music from the 30’s and 40’s with an extremely danceable rhythm.

Nina de Vitry:

Nina de Vitry is an emerging songwriter & musician from Lancaster, PA. Pairing her spellbinding vocals with a soft guitar or piano accompaniment, her solo sets move seamlessly from intricate original songs to jazz standards and old country covers. With musical influences ranging from the jazz of Norah Jones and Amy Winehouse to the Americana and blues rock of Bonnie Raitt and the Tedeschi Trucks Band, Nina manages to create a wholly new sound that is both soothing and soulful. She has won international songwriting acclaim as a two-time jazz category finalist in the 2017 and 2018 John Lennon International Songwriting contests, as well as national recognition in the Telluride Troubador Songwriting and Woody Guthrie Songwriting competitions of 2016 and 2017.
